Lockdown in Siliguri: Lockdown in the 47 Wards of Siliguri started from today.

4 died in Siliguri: 4 Covid patoents died today . Hemant Chhetri 53 of Kurseong died in Desun Covid hospital, 

Binod Agarwal 58 yr of Khalpara died in a nursing home,

Adhir Das 55 of Shantinagar died in RICU ward of NBMCH, 

59 year old of Kishangunj died in RICU ward of NBMCH

Darjeeling: 32 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive . They are 9 of Ward no. 35, 4 of Ward no.7, 2 of Ward no.8, Ward no.13, Ward no.36 and Ward no.41,1 of Ward no.2, Ward no.4, Ward no.5, Ward no.9, Ward no. 10, Ward no.15, Ward no.21, Ward no.30 ,Ward no.32, Ward no.40 and Ward no.42.

Malda:  Record 67 new cases and 1 death reported today from Malda. There are 1365 Confirmed cases, 700 have recovered and 7 died and 499 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  3 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 594 confirmed cases of which 396 have recovered, 4 died and 194 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   1 died in Alipurduar, 2 new case reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 210 Confirmed cases, 194 recovered and 16 active cases. 

Coochbehar:  Including 5 government officials, 8 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 381 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 320 recovery and 59 active cases. 

54 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from the infection- 19 from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Superspeciality hospital,16 from Desun Covid hospital and 5 from different Safe homes are discharged., 

NBMCH

There are 15 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 7 of them tested positive while 4 are very serious.

There are 4 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 1 in Isolation Ward-II, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 7 in Gynecological ward

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 101 patients are admitted today. 

There are 4 patients of GTA, 1 patient of Cedar Cottage Darjeeling, 1 of Kurseong and 1 of Tindharia  and 1 of  Kalimpong are admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 68 Covid-19 patients are admitted

20 are moved to Safe Home.

TRIBENI Hospital

Presently there are 6 patients, 5 patients of Darjeeling and 1 of Kalimpong in Triveni hospital.

3 patients released while 2 are referred.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1634 and in Kalimpong district is 953, the tally of GTA area stands to 2587. 

Altogether there are 80 persons in 7 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1093 confirmed cases of which 665 have recovered and 14 died while 414 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 59 confirmed cases of which 55 have recovered, 1 died and 3 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 209 confirmed cases of which 190 have recovered while 19 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 634 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 406 have recovered and 225 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 387 confirmed cases of which 315 have recovered and 72 are active cases. 

Malda has 1453 confirmed cases of which 887 have recovered and 7 died and 559 are active cases.
