1 Covid patient dies in Siliguri, 31 tested positive, 24 released after recovery, 17 of Siliguri, 1 of Sukuna, 1 of Darjeeling, 45 of Malda, 2 of Alipurduar tested positive to Covid -19, No cases from Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar reported.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 July 2020: 

1 died in Siliguri:  Swapan Sakar 60 yrs of Deshbandhupara died in Desun hospital. He was admitted at RICU ward of NBMCH and after testing positive to Coivid-19 was shifted to Desun hospital.

Strict lock down has been followed in 9 wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation which are recognised as Containment zone. They are Ward numbers 2, 4, 5, 28, 46, 37, 38, 39, 43.

31 tested positive: 26 of Siliguri, 5 of Matigara tested positive. They are from Ward no.38 (10, 42, 50, 57 yr old), Ward no.35 (25, 25, 43, 59 yr old),  Ward no. South Shantinagar (27, 52, 56 yr old), Ward no.27 (26, 49 yr old), Babupara, Hakimapara (58, 59 yr old), Ward no.28 (4, 62 yr old),  Ward no.13 (48 yr old), Ward no.15 (22 yr old), Ward no.26 (52 yr old),  Ward no.40 (65 yr old), Ward no.42 (40 yr old) Salugara, Ward no.47 (26 yr old), Durganagar (26 yr old), Haiderpara (55 yr old), and Ghughumali (64 yr old).

24 Released: 24 patients after recovery are released from Covid hospitals of Siliguri.

Malda:  45 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 989 Confirmed cases, 572 have recovered and 6 died and 411 are active cases. 

Alipurduar:   2 new cases reported from Alipurduar of which one is a health worker of Falakatta another is from Birpara. In the district there are 196 Confirmed cases, 177 recovered and 19 active cases. 

Coochbehar:  No new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 310 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 299 recovery and 10 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  No new cases from Jalpaiguri reported today. In the district there are 467 confirmed cases of which 329 have recovered, 4 died and 83 active cases.

NBMCH

There are 17 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 5 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 9 patient in pediatric ward  are admitted. 

4 of the Isolation ward tested positive and shifted to Covid hospitals.

1 of Jaldhaka is admitted at Isolation ward of NBMCH.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 58 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Lower Tungsung and another 1 of Chinese Club, Chowrasta Darjeeling are admitted since three days.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 33 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 11 are in ICU.  

Tribeni Hospital

There are 2 patient of Darjeeling in Triveni hospital.

1 patient of Mirik of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1529 and in Kalimpong district is 1087, the tally of GTA area stands to 2616. 

Altogether there are 84 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 764 confirmed cases of which 510 have recovered and 12 died while 242 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 56 confirmed cases of which 52 have recovered, 1 died and 3 are active cases. Alipurduar has 193 confirmed cases of which 186 have recovered while 7 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 462 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 355 have recovered and 104 are active cases. CoochBehar has 318 confirmed cases of which 308 have recovered and 10 are active cases. Malda has 1051 confirmed cases of which 661 have recovered and 7 died and 383 are active cases.
