Record highest spike with 449 new cases and 8187 confirmed cases

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 June 2020: Todays report states a record highest spike of increase in new cases and active cases.
In the state 449 new cases (1 day before-435, 2 days before- 427) as well as  13 death (1 day before-17, 2 days before-11) and 184 recovery (1 day before-207, 2 days before-144) is recorded today.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 8187 (1 day before-7738, 2 days before-7303) while active cases is 4488 (1 day before-4236, 2 days before-4025). The death toll from the disease till now is 324 (1 day before-311, 2 days before-294) while there is 72 death due to Co-morbidity.
After recovery of the infection 3303 (1 day before-3119, days before-2912) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 40.34%.
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 42, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9786 (1 day before-9771, 2 days before-9686) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 271074 (1 day before-261288, 2 days before-251517) till now since day 1.   



Today 154682 persons (1 day before-152173, 2 days before-151848) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 260955 persons (1 day before-257156, 2 days before-254760) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 106273 (1 day before-104983, 2 days before-102912).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 22695 persons (1 day before-22669, 2 days before-23077) and so far from these centres 65761 persons (1 day before-63450, 2 days before-59700) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.

As per todays bulletin In Darjeeling there are 95 Confirmed cases of which 69 are active cases. There were 4 death and 22 recovery.
In Kalimpong there are 25 Confirmed cases of which 18 are active cases. There was 1 death and 6 recovery.
