4 Covid patient dies, 40 of Darjeeling, 6 of Malda, 1 of Alipurduar, 2 of Coochbehar infected with Covid-19

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 June 2020:  

Siliguri: 

4 Covid patients died today. 2 of Darjeeling district, 1 of Jalpaiguri and 1 of Uttar Dinajpur, 3 are females while one is a male.

Laxmimaya Chhetri 70 yrs of ward no 46 Satyajit Nagar Mallaguri died today. After testing positive she was admitted at Dr. Chhang's SSC Hospital and later referred to DESUN hospital where she died this afternoon.

Rama Devi 44 yrs old of Khalpara was admitted in a nursing home and referred to Desun Covid hospital where she died today. Both were Covid patients.

Bandana Roy 60 yrs old of Jabrabhitta Sahudangi under Rajgunj of Jalpaiguri died today. She was admitted in ICU of NBMCH and referred to DESUN hospital.

Sabir Alam, 35 yrs, another of Panjipara of Uttar Dinajpur died today. 

40 of Darjeeling infected: 32 new cases of Covid-19 is reported from different areas of Siliguri. It includes 4 SBI staff (yesterday, seven employees of the credit card section of the Siliguri branch of the State Bank of India tested positive and these 4 were the contact of them) and 6 of Matigara, 1 of ward no 17. Rest of the 10 cases are from other parts of Siliguri.

Health condition of Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of SMC has improved a lot and has no fever. His second test turned out to be positive, though first test was negative. Mukul Sengupta , member SMC also is improving.

Alipurduar: 1 case reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 181 Confirmed cases, 89 recovered and 92 active cases.

Malda: 6 new cases reported from Malda. It is feared that community spread of the disease might have started in Malda that’s why the number of infected is increasing day by day. Infected includes Deputy CMOH of the district.

There are 453 Confirmed cases, 250 recovered and 103 active cases 

Coochbehar:  2 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported after four days of no cases. The complete report of the district is 284 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died, 258 recovery and 24 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri: Today one patient of Jalpaiguri died in Desun hospital today, the number of death of Covid patients of this district tally stands at 3. No new case is reported from Jalpaiguri and tally of district is 316 Confirmed cases of which 137 have recovered and 179 are active cases.

Released: 16 patients after recovery were discharged from Covid hospitals.

There are 5 patients in Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). In the Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) 3 patient admitted. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 73 patients are admitted today. 7 patients are newly admitted today.

5 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital, of them 4 patients are from Darjeeling district and they are 1 of Kaijaley, 1 of Sonada, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg a

From Kalimpong ,1 patient of Munsong is admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 44 Covid-19 patients are admitted today. 

1 of Topkhana (Kalimpong) is admitted.

3 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House.1 of Dudhia transferred from Desun hospital -and 1 of Soureni admitted

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2307 and in Kalimpong district it is 1546, the tally of GTA area stands to 3853. 

Altogether there are 81 persons in 11 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 363 confirmed cases of which 191 have recovered and 6 died while 166 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 41 have recovered, 1 died and 10 are active cases. Alipurduar has 178 confirmed cases of which 72 have recovered while 106 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 318 confirmed cases of which 200 have recovered and 118 are active cases. CoochBehar has 291 confirmed cases of which 266 have recovered and 25 are active cases.
