3 doctors, a tailor of Dabgram, a prisoner, 6 from Jalpaiguri, 11 of Malda, 1 of Uttar Dinajpur tested positive, 4 of Sikkim tested positive-Triveni lodge approved as SARI hospital



KalimNews, 6 June 2020, Kalimpong: 
Three doctors tested positive: Today a senior doctor of Isolation of medicine department of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital has tested positive to Covid-19. Another intern of NBMCH also has tested positive.
Beside these two, another young dentist doctor of a Neotia Getwell Healthcare Centre in Matigara also has tested positive. The dentist had no travel history. 
It is reminded that earlier about 10 medics of Darjeeling district including NBMCH and Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.
Prisoner tests positive: A prisoner of Jalpaiguri Central correctional home also was found infected of Covid-19. The convict of Birpara was sentenced for life imprisonment in Jalpaiguri Central Correctional home, He was admitted at NBMCH for illness related to respiratory ailments on 27 May and today he was found to be positive to Covid-19. 
Tailor Covid patient: A 54 year old person of Banewswar more Dabgram II, Khudiram Palli who use to work as a tailor in a boutique of Momo Gulli of Seth Shreelal building has also tested positive. The person was admitted at DESUN hospital for symptoms similar to Covid. Today his swab test report was out and was confirmed that he tested positive. During the lockdown period to combat the financial crisis he started to sell fishes.
He was admitted at DESUN hospital from where he is being shifted to Dr. Chhang’s SS C hospital. 

Other districts: 
6 from Jalpaiguri Patients are from, SamsingTE, Damdim, Toribari, Meenglass, Bagrakote (9 year old girl) and Chalsa. All have travel history.
11 from Malda.
A 22 yr old person of Keotal under Itahar (Uttar Dinajpur) has also been infected.


Siikim:
4 more infection reported from Sikkim, the number of active cases tally 7. The four are from Kamrang, Denchung, Nandok, 2 of South SIkkim and 2 of East Sikkim. All are between the age 21-37 yrs.

2 of 6 members of a family of Debidanga (belonging to Sonada) are released after recovery.

NBMCH
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 June 2020: 
Presently 7 patients are admitted with symptoms similar to Covid 19 in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. 

Covid hospital
In Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital the number of patient is increasing day by day. There are 79 Covid-19 positive patients admitted and being treated at NBMCH.
There are 16 patients of GTA area, and they are 6 from Sonada, 1 from Mirik, 5 nos from Kurseong and 4 from Kalimpong. 
10 Covid patients released after testing negative.
DESUN hospital
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 June 2020: 
In DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital at Kawakhali, 44 patients are admitted with symptoms similar toCovid-19. 
There are 1 patient of Darjeeling and 2 patients of Kalimpong district are admitted here. 

DESUN hospital is upgraded to level IV Covid hospital. 

GTA
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 June 2020: 
Triveni Tourist lodge is approved as 150 beded severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) hospital.Its level II Covid hospital with swab sample collecting facility.
11 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SSC hospital. (6 of Sonada and Sukhiapokhari, 1 of Mirik, 2 more admitted tally 4 of Kalimpong)
The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2680 and in Kalimpong district it is 1126, the tally stands in GTA to 3806. 
Altogether there are 388 persons in 38 institutional facility quarantines.
