Suspected Covid patient dies
TT, 15 May 2020, Siliguri: A suspected coronavirus patient died on Thursday at Desun Hospital,. which is dedicated to those with respiratory problems at Kawakhali here.
Sources said the 48-year old man from Mungpoo in Darjeeling district had been referred from the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri on Wednesday.
His swab sample has been sent for Covid-19 tests.
A migrant worker who had returned from Mumbai to his village in the Raiganj block of North Dinajpur district was detected with Covid-19 on Thursday.
Over 150 people from Sikkim got off a special train at the New Jalpaiguri station on Thursday and have been taken to different quarantine centres in the Himalayan state in 12 buses.
They had ret tuned from Chennai by the train arranged for by Mizoram.
About 1,200 people were scheduled to arrive at NJP on Thursday evening by another train that started from Bangalore.
