NORTH BENGAL
SARI
20 patients of DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital are released today. Their second test also came to be negative to Covid 19.
There are 8 more patients who are still waiting for their next test result.
Other 2 patients of Kalimpong district. One of Kalimpong is admitted today while one of Darjeeling is released today.
1 Covid-19 positive patient tests negative for the second time:
COVID-19 HOSPITAL
There are 6 Covid-19 patients at Dr. Chang’s Super specialty Covid-19 Hospital. One of the six patients who hails from Barobhisa of Alipurduar district admitted here has tested negative twice, he may be released tomorrow. There are 2 more Covid-19 positive patients of Alipurduar. Others are 1 doctor of NBMCH (resident of Kolkata), 1 of Malda and 1 driver from Chennai.
NBMCH
As of today Covid-19 suspected patients admitted in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital are- 1 in the Isolation ward 1 of NBMCH, One 50 year of Jalpaiguri in Surgical Isolation ward
2 females of Mal Bazar and Raiganj are admitted in the gynecological Isolation ward of NBMCH, they also have some symptoms similar to Covid-19 and their tests are done and they came to be negative.
All have symptoms of respiratory problem similar to Covid-19 and their test result is awaited.
GTA
102 persons in institutional and 1449 in home quarantine:
At institutional quarantine centre of ITI, Upper Fagu Gorubathan under Kalimpong district, 15 more persons are admitted, that tally 49 persons.
23 persons are admitted at Batasia TB centre,
14 are admitted in Old Railway Hospital of Kurseong.
At Pokhriabong PHC 16 are admitted.
102 patients are now in 4 different institutional quarantines.
With the home coming of students and other people from other states, the number of people in home quarantine at their residence in the district of Darjeeling is increased from 648 to 782 while in Kalimpong district it is increased from 576 to 667. Altogether there are 1449 (yesterday 1358) persons are in home quarantine.
Those who recently came by train from different states are now kept in the institutional quarantines till their swab test result confirms their negative to Covid-19. Swab testing is started since today.
STATE
In the state 67 new cases (1 day before-115, 2 days before- 84) and 6 death (1 day before-7, 2 days before-10) and 67 recovery (1 day before-63, 2 days before-61) is recorded today.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 2677 (1 day before-2576, 2 days before-2461) while active cases is 1480 (1 day before-1452, 2 days before-1407) and death toll till now is 166 (1 day before-160, 2 days before-153).
There is 72 death due to Co-morbidity while 959 (1 day before-892, 2 days before-829) are released after recovery.
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 22 ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 8668 (1 day before7745, 2 days before--6706) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 85956 (1 day before-77288, 2 days before-69543) till now since day 1.
Today 57184 (1 day before-50258, 2 days before-45681) persons are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 127893 persons (1 day before-120347, 2 days before-115280) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 70709 (1 day before-70089, 2 days before-69079).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 10561 (1 day before-9667, 2 days before-8882) persons and so far from these centres 27740 (1 day before-25804, 2 days before-24389) persons were released in the past.
Currently in the state there are 68 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 52 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
