Nationwide lockdown extended by another two weeks, says govt







































HT, New Delhi, 1 May 2020: The government on Friday decided to extend the nationwide lockdown, necessitated by the coronavirus outbreak, by another two weeks. The earlier lockdown was set to end this Sunday.

The decision comes close on the heels of several meetings that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held with his ministers since yesterday.

Earlier today, the PM held meetings with home minister Amit Shah, railway minister Piyush Goyal and Aviation minister Hardeep Puri to chalk out a lockdown plan.
