
India crosses 70000 infection... recovery rate 31.15pc
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 May 2020: In the last 24 hours the followings data on Covid-19 of India was recorded; death 97 (1 day before-97, 2 days before-128) taking the death toll to 2293 (1 day before-2206, 2 days before-2109) and 3604 (1 day before-4213, 2 days before-3277 ) new cases, has been recorded in the whole country. Confirmed cases 70756 (1 day before-67152, 2 days before-62939) and 46008 (1 day before-44029, 2 days before-41472) active cases are recorded today.

Today 22454 (1 day before-20196, 2 days before-19358) have
recovered so far according to the latest update released by the Union Ministry
for Health and Family Welfare.
Maharashtra
remains the worst-hit state of the country with 23401 (1 day before-22171, 2 days before-20228)
confirmed cases and 868 (1 day before-832, 2 days before-779) deaths and 4786
(1 day before-4199, 2 days before-3800) recovery.
The
second highest increase is observed in Gujrat, it has 8541 (1 day before-, 2
days before-7797) confirmed cases and 513 (1 day before-493, 2 days before-472)
death and 2780 (1 day before-2545, 2 days before-2091) recovery and release
from Hospital.
The next
is Tamilnadu which has exceeded the record of Delhi with 8002 (1 day bfeore-7204,
2 days before-6535) confirmed cases and 52 (1 day bfeore-47, 2 days before-44)
death and 2052 (1 day before-2061, 2 days before-1824) recovery.
The next
is Delhi with 7233 (1 day bfeore-6923, 2 days before-6542) confirmed cases and 7233
(since 4 days before-73) death and 2051 (1 day before-2061, 2 days before-1824)
recovery.

ed and discharged so far. The death toll also rose to 2,293. According to the Home Ministry, the recovery rate stands at 31.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, the Railway services starting Tuesday will run to full capacity, while leaving it up to the passengers to maintain social distancing on board, and to states to decide the protocol on arrival. More than 54,000 passengers made reservations for their train journeys within three hours after the Indian Railways opened booking on Monday.

However, those with symptoms should not be allowed to board, Vijayan said.
Globally, there are over 4 million coronavirus cases, with deaths exceeding 281,000.
According to Johns Hopkins data, the United States continues to be the worst-affected country with 79,894 fatalities and 1,339,819 cases, followed by United Kingdom (32,140 deaths and 224,327 cases) and Italy (30,379 deaths and 219,814 cases).
