GTAs initiative for all stranded GTA residents ... Registration of residents of the GTA region who are stranded in the different places of Country and wish to return back home

PR, KalimNews, 2 May 2020, Kalimpong : Gorkhaland Territorial Administration has started online registration of its residents who are stranded in different areas of the country. 

In a press release it has provided an online portal for the registration of such people of GTA who either wants to return back home or either stranded in the different area of the country.

It has stated that it has launched an online registration portal for the residents of the GTA region who are stranded in the different places of Country and wish to return back home. 

Those who wants to return back home have to register their names by filling up an online form from the portal.

Further it has stated that upon submission of the online form, a unique application will be generated and the same will be mailed to the citizen's email id.

GTA authority will verify that unique application along with the original document at its Screening center and Check posts on the gateway of hills.

It has reminded that screening is must for every single person passing these checkpoints and people who are found suspected would be sent to the nearby quarantine center. 

It has added that those who clears the screening must strictly follow the Self-quarantine for 14 days at their respective houses and also maintain the social distancing even with their family members.

The 14 days Quarantine is mandatory for all the people who are coming from different parts of the country. It has expected that everyone will cooperate and coordinate during this process.

Further the GTA will form a community surveillance committee in all 45 GTA constituency which will have nodal officer headed by Mr PD Pradhan, IAS secretary GTA, along with the help  of various heads from different samaj in respective GTA constituency.

The community surveillance committee will report to the GTA authority with regular updates of people who are returning to their respective native places.
