From Kota, students of Kalimpong and other districts arrived their home town.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 May 2020: After travelling more than 1600 km from Kota of Rajasthan, students of Darjeeling and Kalimpong district along with other diistricts of West Bengal finally arrived their home state. These students were studying in different IIT-JEE- NEET coaching institutes of Kota for preparing entrance tests of Engineering, Medical and other competitive examinations. The convoy of buses headed towards three zone destinations, Siliguri, Asansol and Kolkata.
At around 3 pm 784 students of different districts of north Bengal, arrived  at Kawakhali ground by 27 buses arranged by the government of West Bengal. Gautam Deb, Tourism Minister, Sumanta Sahay SDO SIliguri, ADM, with other officials of district administration, health workers and Police Commissioner, DCP and other police personnels were present at Kawakhali to receive the students.
After arrival, the students of north Bengal along with some of their guardians reported at different counters made for each district where they were medically examined and later sent by NBSTC buses to their respective districts. Seven students of Kalimpong along with their guardians arrived at Kalimpong in the night after undergoing several medical examinations and advisories. 
Altogether 2,368 students of West Bengal had started their journey from Kota by 95 buses in the afternoon of 29 April and they made a halt that night at Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh. On arrival at their different zonal destinations they were taken by buses of their respective districts to their home town. 
The first bus to reach the state had 30 students along with two parents that arrived in the morning at Asansol in Burdwan district, crossing over the West Bengal-Jharkhand border.
All students will be in self quarantine and under surviellence of the district administration and health department.
