53 admitted at Siliguri Covid hospital - 11 of Darjeeling district -2 dies at DESUN- In GTA area 228 (yesterday 83) in institutional and 3110 (yesterday 3144) in home quarantine.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 May 2020: 

32 of Coochbehar admitted at Dr. Chang’s Covid hospital:  All 32 positive patients of Coochbehar are admitted at Dr. Chang’s Covid hospital. 31 of them belongs to Dinhatta sub-division while 1 is from Coochbehar sadar. 

2 dead at DESUN: 2 persons both negative to Covid-19 died last night in DESUN (SARI) hospital. One of the dead of Naxalbari was admitted a day before in ICU and the other person of Arvindapalli was admitted yesternight. Both tested negative and the dead body is handed over to their relatives. 

Including these two death tally stands at 16. 

24 number of family members of the 4 positive patients of Alipurduar tested negative and released.

Yesterday, 7 Coronavirus infected patients of Darjeeling district were admitted at Dr. Chang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital. Of them 2 are from Kurseong , 2 from Sonad and 3 from plains. 

NORTH BENGAL

53 Covid patients admitted: 32 patients of Coochbehar are admitted in Dr. Chang’s Super Speciality Covid Hospital. 4 were admitted yesterday while 28 were admitted today.

11 of Darjeeling were admitted yesterday of these 4 are from hills and 7 from the plains.

3 were admitted yesterday, they are 2 from Naxalbari and 1 from Khoribari

9 patients were already admitted in the hospital that included 1 of Naxalbari,1 of Khoribari and 2 of Siliguri SMS.

They are 4 patients of Alipurduar; a person of Adarshanagar, Ward no. 4 SMC who had been to Delhi; a patient of Bangladesh but residing with a relative of Pundibari-Coochbehar admitted yesterday with a history of travel to Chennai for treatment; a woman of Kholtajote of Khoribari suffering from cancer travelled from Mumbai; a girl of 8 from Malda suffering from leukemia and a kidney patient of Nepali Busty – Bhaktinagar area of ward no 34 near NJP bridge who had returned from Chennai.

So far 28 Covid patients have recovered and released from Dr. Chang’s Covid-19 hospital.

DESUN (SARI)

26 patients are admitted: In DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital located at Kawakhali, 26 patients are admitted of which 5 are in ICU. 

2 patients died last night and this morning, both tested negative. 

1 patient of Darjeeling is already under treatment.

8 patients with symptoms similar to Covid-19:  Presently with symptoms similar to Covid 19, 1 patient is in Isolation-1 and 6 patients are admitted in Isolation ward- 2 of gynecological maternity department. 

A Covid positive woman of Naxalbari who gave birth to a baby girl two days ago is also admitted with her baby girl in surgical Isolation ward.

1 person admitted in Isolation is from Pankhabari of GTA area.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 May 2020: 1 patient of Darjeeling is admitted yesterday in DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital. 

In the areas of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration- 228 (yesterday 83) persons are in institutional and 3110 (yesterday 3144) are in home quarantine. 

Institutional quarantine facilities:- 

In DISHA of Kalimpong 4 persons are admitted tally 5. 

In Marwari Bhawan 6 are admitted. 

50 are admitted in Youth Hostel at Deorali of Kalimpong tally 62. 

In ITI at Upper Fagu of Gorubathan 26 admitted. 

19 are admitted in Farmers, Training Hostel at Pedong of Kalimpong tally 20. 

In Batasia TB Hospital 8 persons are admitted. 

In Mungpoo ITI at Takdah 4 new persons admitted, tally 8. 

7 new are admitted in Old Railway Hospital of Kurseong, tally 18. 

At Pokhriabong PHC, 10 more are admitted tally 13. 

At Mirik College 16 are admitted, tally 21. 

At Jamuni GTA Guest House, Pulbazar, 41 are admitted. 

228 (yesterday 83) persons are now in 9 different institutional quarantines. 

With the home coming of workers, students and other people from other states, the number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is increased from 2082 to 2161 while in Kalimpong district it is decreased from 1042 to 949. 

Altogether there are 3110 (yesterday 3144) persons in home quarantine. 

Those who recently came from different states are now kept in the institutional quarantines till their swab test result confirms their negative to Covid-19.

STATE 

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 May 2020: 

Todays report states a slow rise in number of new cases and active case. 

In the state 317 new cases (1 day before-277, 2 days before- 344) as well as 7 death (1 day before-7, 2 days before-6) and 195 recovery (1 day before-107, 2 days before-90) is recorded today. 

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 5130 (1 day before-4813, 2 days before-4536) while active cases is 1851 (1 day before-2736, 2 days before-2573). The death toll from the disease till now is 237 (1 day before-230, 2 days before-223, while there is 72 death due to Co-morbidity. 

After recovery of the infection 1970 (1 day before-1775, days before-1668) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 38.4%.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 40, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9346 (1 day before-9282, 2 days before--9256) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 194397 (1 day before-185051, 2 days before-175769) till now since day 1. 

Today 125287 persons (1 day before-115578, 2 days before- 109557) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 211999 persons (1 day before- 200134, 2 days before-191990) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance. Number of people released from home quarantine was 86712 (1 day before-84556, 2 days before-82433). 

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 16152 persons (1 day before-16502, 2 days before-17421) and so far from these centres 50185 persons (1 day before-47988, 2 days before-46027) were released after recovery. Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
