3 Covid patient recovered...In the state: 3 death-1136 released-142 new cases- recovery rate-36.6%... 143 persons are in institutional and 2252 (yesterday 1805) in home quarantine

NORTH BENGAL 

COVID-19 HOSPITAL

3 Covid patients after testing negative were released today from Dr. Chang’s Super specialty Covid-19 Hospital. Of them, 1 is of Kamakhyaguri under Alipurduar district, 1 of Uttar Rampur-Barobhisa, Coochbehar (father of the son who was brought to Delhi for kidney treatment and while returning back all of the 4 occupants of the ambulance got infected) and another is a patient of Malda.  

It is reminded that altogether 18 patients have so far been recovered from Dr. Chang’s Superspeciality hospital.

The 7 other patients admitted here are 3 patients of Siliguri admitted yesterday and day before yesterday. One of them is a 40 year old insurance agent of Deshbandhupara-Babuparu ward no. 27. The other patient is a 48 yr old fruit vendor of Dangipara ward no. 6 and his 10 year old son.

Other Covid-19 positive patients are, 1 doctor of NBMCH (resident of Kolkata), 1 driver of Chennai and 2 patients of Alipurduar related to the kidney patient. 

SARI

In DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital, as of today, there are 22 patients and all are under treatment for symptoms of Covid- 19 like illness. Of these 2 are in the ICU with respiratory difficulties.

2 patient of GTA area is admitted today.

NBMCH

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 May 2020:  Presently there are 4 patients under observation for Covid-19 in the Isolation ward of NBMCH. One more patient is in the Isolation-2 ward. 1 patient of Matigara is in the Isolation ward -1 and 1 patient in the surgical Isolation ward. A female patient of Takdah / Mungpoo (Darjeeling district) is admitted in the gynecological Isolation ward of NBMCH. All of the above patients have symptoms related to respiratory problems and similar to Covid-19 and their test result is awaited. 

Presently, 44 Covid-19 patients of Malda are under treatment.

GTA 

143 persons are in institutional and 2252 (yesterday 1805) in home quarantine of the GTA area. 

In DISHA of Kalimpong,  36 admitted.

In ITI Upper Fagu, Gorubathan, 33 are admitted 

In Mungpoo ITI at Takdah 4 persons.

23 persons are admitted at Batasia TB centre, 

14 are admitted in Old Railway Hospital of Kurseong. 

At Pokhriabong PHC 14 are admitted. 

At Mirik College, 19 are admitted. 143 (yesterday 103) patients are now in 7 different institutional quarantines. 

With the home coming of students and other people from other states, the number of people in home quarantine at their residence in the district of Darjeeling is increased from 1080 to 1426 while in Kalimpong district it is increased from 725 to 836

Altogether there are 1805 (yesterday 1805) persons are in home quarantine. Those who recently came by train from different states are now kept in the institutional quarantines till their swab test result confirms their negative to Covid-19. Swab testing is started since today.

STATE 

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 May 2020: In the state 142 new cases (1 day before-136, 2 days before- 148) and 3 death (1 day before-6, 2 days before-6) and 77 recovery (1 day before-62, 2 days before-68) is recorded today. The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 3103 (1 day before-2961, 2 days before-2825) while active cases is 1714 (1 day before-1637, 2 days before-1575) and death toll till now is 181 (1 day before-178, 2 days before-172).

There is 72 death due to Co-morbidity while 1136 (1 day before-1006, 2 days before-959) are released after recovery. 

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 27 ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 8720 (1 day before 8712, 2 days before--7614) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 111002 (1 day before-102282, 2 days before-93570) till now since day 1.    

Today 94722 persons (1 day before-86952, 2 days before-77235) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 167211 persons (1 day before-158841, 2 days before-148474) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance. 

Number of people released from home quarantine was 72849 (1 day before-71889, 2 days before-71239). 

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are  12661 persons (1 day before-12482, 2 days before-11571) and so far from these centres 34104 persons (1 day before-32112, 2 days before-29615) were released in the past. 

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
