Death toll in the state is 7.. Situation of Kalimpong is improving
Today 20 more asymptomic persons of Darjeeling district are added for quarantine the total being 136. Yesterday there were 116 persons in self quarantine.
Today's report states that 23 asymptomic persons completed their self quarantine in Kalimpong and there are still 122 persons to complete it, yesterday, there were 145 persons in self quarantine.
In the Kalimpong district 14 asymptometic people are at ITI, Upper Fagu in Gorubathan for quarantine. There are still 41 persons in quarantine centres at Disha Centre and Marwari Bhawan of Kalimpong. Some of them are about to complete their quarantine period.
In the country the number of confirmed cases is 11933 with 392 deaths and 1344 discharged, the highest cases is recorded in Maharashtra as 2687 confirmed cases with 178 deaths and 259 release after recovery. The next is Delhi with 1561 confirmed cases and 30 death and 30 recovery followed by Tamilnadu with 1204 confirmed case and 12 death with 81 discharged. Madhyapradesh has the second highest death counting to 53 deaths.
The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state of West Bengal is increased by 17 new cases while 5 positive patients are released after recovery.
As of today at present there are 213 confirmed cases of which 132 are active cases while 42 have been discharged and 2571 persons are admitted in hospital isolation. 7 persons have expired due to Covid-19. An official release of the West Bengal Health and family welfare department on Covid-19 states that 3470 samples are tested for Covid-19 in the state and 37691 persons are under home observation/surveillance and 19092 persons have completed surveillance. 2570 persons have been admitted under hospital isolation and so far 2057 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine and testing negative. In the state there are 582 Institutional Quarantine Centres in which 12086 persons are kept in Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative) and so far 7729 persons have been released from Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative).
