
Covid-19: 10 death in Bengal... 41 released from quarantine centres of Kalimpong


Todays Covid 19 negative secondary contact were the people who were in contact with a domestic help who also use to work with the family of the deceased lady's family.
Presently 4 patients of the Singh family are under treatment at two isolation centres at Jalpaiguri and Siliguri. 2 are son and daughter of the Singh family and other two are daughter-in-law and her daughter of the Singh family.
2 more people are added at the ITI Fagu quarantine centre of Gorubathan, now there are 16 asymptomic people.

Status Report of Covid-19 issued by the GTA states that there are 116 people for self quarantine in the district of Darjeeling. Yesterday too there were 116 persons in self quarantine.
Today's report states that there are still 137 persons in self quarantine to complete their quarantine period in Kalimpong, yesterday, there were 137 persons in self quarantine.
In the country the number of confirmed cases is 12759 with 420 deaths and 1515 discharged, the highest cases is recorded in Maharashtra as 2919 confirmed cases with 187 deaths and 295 release after recovery. The next is Delhi with 1578 confirmed cases and 32 death and 42 recovery followed by Tamilnadu with 1242 confirmed case and 14 death with 118 discharged.

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state of West Bengal is increased by 18 new cases .
As of today at present there are 231 confirmed cases with 10 deaths. 144 are active cases. An official release of the West Bengal Health and family welfare department on Covid-19 states that 3811 samples are tested for Covid-19 in the state and 36982 persons are under home observation/surveillance and 20219 persons have completed surveillance.
Till today under hospital isolation 2714 persons have been admitted and presently 489 are admitted. So far 2225 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine period.
In the state there are 582 Institutional Quarantine Centres in which 12196 persons are kept in Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative) and so far 8281 persons have been released from Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative).
Till today under hospital isolation 2714 persons have been admitted and presently 489 are admitted. So far 2225 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine period.
