2 out of 6 positive patients of Kalimpong released after tested negative

KalimNews, 11 April 2020, Kalimpong: Today 2 positive patients of Kalimpong who were at the Isolation / Quarantine centre of Chang's Superspeciality hospital were released after tested negative. Some information stated that 3 were released but the official statement showed it to be 2, a 58 year grandfather and his 3 year old granddaughter. The third person who was the mother of the child was never a patient and neither admitted nor released but she just accompanied her positive 3 year daughter till her recovery.
Out of the six positive patients of Kalimpong a 3 year girl child and her 58 year grandfather of the Singh family tested negative second time and were released from the Isolation centre today. These two tested positive on 2nd April and were moved from their quarantine centre at Disha and home to the Changs' hospital for isolation. They will be in home quarantine.

It is clarified that the 3 year girl child being minor was accompanied by her mother (who was negative to Covid 19 from the very beginning and was never a patient) in the quarantine and isolation centre.
As of now 10 members of the Singh family and 1 domestic help tested Covid 19 positive. Sunita Debi Singh 44 was the first person to test positive on 28 March died on 30 March during her treatment at NBMCH. Later 4 immediate members of the decesed lady that included her husband, nephew and niece (husbands's brother's son and daughter in law and their daughterr tested negative twice are now under observation in an isolation centre.
Later on six more in contact with the deceased lady tested Covid19 positive on 2nd April and moved to isolation centre at Siliguri. It included son and daughter of the deceased lady, the brother of the deceased lady's husband, his wife and the and grand daughter.
Now 4 persons including the domestic help are under observation at Chang's isolation center. They are normal though tested positive, their more test result is awaited.
30 more persons of Darjeeling district have completed quarantine period. They were in self quarantine and there are still 169 persons. Yesterday 199 persons were in self quarantine.
There are 46 persons of Kalimpong in quarantine centres at Disha Centre and Marwari Bhawan of Kalimpong.
As per today's report , in Kalimpong there are still 193 persons in self quarantine. There were 202 persons and a day before that day, there were 225 persons in self quarantine.
Though Kalimpong is declared a hotspot zone, the progress and the control of the Covid 19 is very much under control and encouraging an offical reserving anonymity said. 

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state of West Bengal rose to 126, another increase of 10 new cases. Of these 126 patients, 16 have been discharged after recovery. identity of 69 have already been ascertained while district of the 47 Covid 19 positive persons to which they belong is yet to be ascertained.As of today at present 393 persons are admitted in hospital isolation. So far, 5 persons expired due to Covid-19.
An official release of the West Bengal Health and family welfare department on Covid-19 states that 2286 samples are tested for Covid-19 in the state and 41497 persons are under home observation/surveillance and 14241 persons have completed surveillance.
1964 persons have been admitted under hospital isolation and so far 1553 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine and testing negative. In the state there are 582 Institutional Quarantine Centres in which 10609 persons are kept in Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative) and so far 6529 persons have been released from Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative).
