2 died in West Bengal.. Total Covid 19 death -12

KalimNews, 18 April 2020, Kalimpong: 2 more people died of Covid 19 in West Bengal within past 24 hours. The number of death due to Covid 19 arose to 12. Todays report states that the number of active Covid-19 cases in the state of West Bengal is increased to 178 active cases with 34 new cases.  

The report of GTA states that there are one patient in each of the Isolation centre of NBMCH and Dr.  Changs's S S Hospital. 

At the ITI Fagu quarantine centre of Gorubathan there are 16 asymptomic people. 

Status Report of Covid-19 issued by the GTA states that there are 142 people for self quarantine in the district of Darjeeling. Yesterday there were 138 people under self quarantine. 

Today's report states that there are 78 persons in self quarantine to complete their quarantine period in Kalimpong, yesterday, there were 84 persons in self quarantine.  

As of today there are 287 confirmed cases in the state.  An official release of the West Bengal Health and family welfare department on Covid-19 states that 4630 samples are tested for Covid-19 in the state and 32509 persons are under home observation/surveillance and 22628 persons have completed surveillance. 

Till today under hospital isolation 3027 persons have been admitted and presently there are 505 admitted patients. So far 2522 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine period. 

In the state there are 582 Institutional Quarantine Centres in which 12196 persons are kept in Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative) and so far 8281 persons have been released from Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative).

With 2033 new cases in the country the number of confirmed cases is 14792 with 68 more death in 24 hour totalling to 488 deaths and 2015 discharged. The highest cases is recorded in Maharashtra as 3323 confirmed cases with 201 (14 more)deaths and release of 331 after recovery. The next is Delhi with 1707 confirmed cases and 42 death and 72 recovery followed by Madhya Pradesh with 1355 confirmed case and 69 death with 69 discharged.
