SDF: SKM failed to deliver
RAJEEV RAVIDAS, TT, 14 Jan 2020, Gangtok: The Sikkim Democratic Front on Monday accused the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha government of lying to the people of the state by failing to deliver on any one of its election promises.
The SDF, which was ousted by the SKM last year after ruling the state for 25 years, listed a number of issues that the nearly eight-month-old government allegedly failed to deliver on.
"Many of the unsuspecting Sikkimese youths were overwhelmed by illogically lofty poll promises made by the SKM. That all of the SKM promises were nothing but a castle in the air is being gradually understood by the Sikkimese people (now)," the SDF said in a release issued here.
"(SKM is) the party that shamelessly lied to the Sikkimese youthThe Telegraph could not get the reaction of the SKM to the SDF's charges as calls to their spokesmen went unanswered.
The eight listed unfulfilled promises include regularisation of jobs of all ad hoc employees and teachers.
