People react to CM run for greenery in Hills; Giri remarks Social media sites were replete with comments attacking both the chief minister & GJMM leader Giri

MANAS R BANNERJEE, SNS, 29 October 2019, Kurseong: Several people from dif- ferentmllcsoflife today reacted to chief minister M amata Ba nerjee's 'run for greenery' in the Hills late last week.

Fugitive leader of the Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (GJMM). Roshan Giri, had stated "Mamata Banerjee should examine her mental and emotional processes," while another political leader and observer had said that the CM's run was irrelevant. The comments came in after the CM left Uttarkanya for Kolkata on 25 October after a five-day tour.

Social media sites were replete with comments attacking both the chief minister and Mr Giri.

"Terribly funny. or may I say unbearably funny!" said Enakshi Majumdar. even as another user, Sush Lama. commented, "Wow! Energetic!,' and Karma Woaqal said: "Keep it up ma'm that's great."

" Roshan Giri was also following her (Miss Banerjee) before," said Gyanu Dewan. On the other hand. Umesh N Deepmala Thulung said: " What about Mr Girl.... who has been in hiding ever since . Consuming money he had accumulated when they were in power. It is hard to understand how much a politician can consume. Imagine government employee after working for an entire life cannot afford to live in luxury."

"Our politician who comes to power for 10 or 15 years can live in luxury for the entire life. claiming to be a messiah for common people," Thulung added.

"I don't believe a single alphabet of whatever Roshan Giri says. He should not come back," one user added.

Another section of social media users posted comments in a lighter vein. "She could have at least got out of the saree and worn a proper track suit," said Chultim Wasal. "Saree might not be the most comfortable attire for the given task. Lots of Love," said another Avinav Dhakal.

"She was just jogging. I don't see anything concerning. It is just she is accompanied by so many of her securities which looks like a marathon. Sometimes, we must stop taking everything seriously," a user said. "She is running in Kurseong. That's okay, Maybe it fits in her scheme of things. After all she is a politician from West Bengal. besides being the chief minister Mamata Banerjee, but the reason why she is able to run here and make a big song and dance about the whole thing is because of those from the Hills who are running behind her," another user, Sagar Rai,  aid.

Another user, Rohit Pradhan, said: " Didi, Ki Holo, Bhagchhen Kothay" (Sister, what happened Where are you fleeing?")

Copying a senior BJP leader, Bishnu Pradhan said: "Bhag Mamata Bhag, BJP Aayo" (Run away fast Mamata... BJP has come). even as Naren Rai added."This is a sign of fear."
