Raju: If state reluctant, Centre should hold bipartite talks

He added that Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) should be dissolved to expedite the dialogue.
Present at a BJP membership drive in Sikkim, Bista said: “We are always in favour of tripartite talks with the state government’s presence. But if the talks don’t materialise, then the Centre should initiate a bipartite dialogue with Hills people.” He had earlier alleged the state government had been sitting on the initiation of tripartite talks by claiming the mandate and GTA were with them.
Pressing for a political solution to the demands of people in the Hills, Bista on Saturday said: “I will ask them (the Centre) to first dissolve GTA. Only then can the tripartite talks start and reach a political solution.” He had earlier set a 5-year deadline for the “political solution”.
Talking about arrests, Bista said he would submit a report to Union home minister Amit Shah, adding: “The situation here has to normalise.”
