Supreme Court Quashes Bimal Gurung, Roshan Giri’s 3 Week Relief Plea

WEPEN Desk, Apr 3, 2019: Supreme Court disposes off petition of two Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) leaders Roshan Giri and Bimal Gurung seeking a direction to grant them interim protection for three weeks to allow them to participate in the general elections. 
They have also been asked to approach Kolkata High Court for relief within 4days. 
The apex court has also granted them protection till then. 
Supreme Court disposes off petition of two Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) leaders Roshan Giri and Bimal Gurung seeking a direction to grant them interim protection for three weeks to allow them to participate in the general elections. 
Yesterday, the Supreme Court had reserved the judgement for today, reported ANI. Supreme Court reserves judgement for tomorrow on the petition filed by Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (GJM) leaders Roshan Giri and Bimal Gurung seeking a direction to grant them interim protection for three weeks to allow them to participate in the general elections. 
Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked accused and absconding GJM (Gorkha Janmukti Morcha) leaders Bimal Gurung and Roshan Giri to file their respective replies as to how many criminal cases are registered and dropped against them in West Bengal, reported ANI.
