Subba, Uprety join SDF

EOI, 27 Feb 2019, Gangtok:R. B. Subba and K. N. Uprety, both founding members of Hamro Sikkim Party who resigned from the party two days back today joined ruling Sikkim Democratic Front following a meeting with chief minister Pawan Chamling at Jorethang. Along with the two leaders former Gangtok Mayor KN Topgay and a host of their supporters also joined joined SDF.

Hamro Sikkim party was formed May last year and Subba who was 2-time Minister in the SDF government was one of the main pillars of the Hamro Sikkim party.

Observers believe that Subba has good hold over Limboo Community in West Sikkim and this development will make SDF stronger.

RB Subba quit SDF alleging corruption in the party and government. He resigned from SDF in 2016, joined BJP and later formed Hamro Sikkim Party with Bhaichung Bhutia in 2017. Following an internal difference he quit HSP on Feb 25. (EOIC)
