Binay poser on Gurung sincerity
TT, Siliguri: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Binay Tamang on Friday accused Bimal Gurung and the BJP of never being serious in meeting demands of the hill population.
"My differences with Bimal Gurung came up as I had understood that the BJP was not serious about any of the demands of the Gorkha community. The BJP was only interested in the single seat from Darjeeling. The maximum they gave us is only photo sessions with (central) ministers" Tamang said in a press statement.
"I tried to explain the same thing to Bimal Gurung last year but the agitation for him was because of his ego with the state government and not for Gorkhaland," Tamang said in a press statement."
