Youth accused of murder lynched in
TT, Jalpaiguri: A youth accused of murdering a tea garden worker was lynched and his house allegedly torched by some dwellers of Soongachi tea estate here on Wednesday.
Sources said some alleged gamblers beat up Rohit Nagasia, 28, to death and two persons were arrested in connection with the murder.
Later, a rumour surfaced that the duo had been released following which the agitated residents torched Rabi Mahali's house (the third accused who was yet to be arrested) and beat him to death.
Police said there is tension in the garden but the cops are patrolling in the area.
