‘Sadhu Baba’ held under POCSO
SUJAL PRADHAN, EOI, Gangtok, 31 Oct 2018: A 60-year-old ‘Sadhu Baba’ has been booked under the POCSO Act 2012 for allegedly sexually assaulting and abusing the 11-year-old girl child in rented house of the victim in Rangpo, a police report said.
The accused was a relative and given shelter in the house in the last week of September. Due to fear the victim revealed the ordeal to her mother only after the accused had left her house, said report.
The accused who was absconding was held by Jorethang police and handed over to Rangpo police.
