Manoj and Nisha awarded ‘Titans of the Media’ by SJC

SNS, Siliguri: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee to day gave away the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran journalist Sushanta Guho of Changrabandha in Cooch Behar.
The award was conferred on Mr Guho as part of the 'Titans of the Media' awards under various categories given away by the Siliguri Journalists' Club (SJC), in association with Round Table India. Mr Guho is associated with a regional vernacular daily.
In the auditorium at Uttarkanya here, Minister of state for Information and Cultural Affairs, Indranil Sen, handed over the Titans of the Media award to Nisha Chettri, the Kalimpong district correspondent for The Statesman. A total of 28 winners received awards from Mr Sen.
There were 157 nominations, while organisers selected the best in best categories- electronic media, print media and photography-from each district and sub-division of North Bengal.
KalimNews: Manoj Rai of Zee 24 Ghanta Bangla and ABN received the Titans of the Media award as best journalist for the electronic category .
Nisha Chettri received the best journalist award for the print media category. Both are members of Kalimpong Press Club and Eastern Himalayan Journalists' Union.
