Pedong protest... condemn gruesome double murder
Aug 21, 2018 Darjeeling: Supporters of different parties, along with common people, marched through Pedong on Monday to condemn the gruesome double murder even as the town shut during the day.
The bodies of Phurtemba Sherpa, 69, and his wife, Kusum, 55, were found shoved in the septic tank of their house on Friday. The duo were staying alone.
The case has been handed over to the CID and senior police officers, including ID, CID, Ajay Rana De, visited the spot.
Benoy Ghisingh, the organising secretary of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's Kalimpong district committee, walked alongside Sebastin Pradhan, a GNLF leader, on the streets of Pedong on Monday.
