10 boys rescued from being trafficked for labour

PR, KalimNews, Siliguri, 2nd August : On an intel received from SSB Ranidanga BOP 41 BN, Tiny Hands India (Siliguri Team), an Anti-Human Trafficking NGO, supported by GRP and RPF of NJP Railway Station carried out a joint operation of rescuing 10 boys who were being trafficked to Jaipur, Rajasthan for labor to work in embroidery stiching for a saree factory. Out of these boys, 6 were minors and 4 were aged just 18 years old. 
They victims from Jalpaiguri district and from Assam were travelling by Brahmaputa Express.
4 traffickers (2 men and 2 women) have been arrested. An FIR has been registered under section 370 of the IPC and Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act as well, against Chanchal Das and his wife Deepa Das from Malda, and Dipak Das and his wife Chandana Das from Jalpaiguri. These minor boys have been currently placed at Korok Shelter Home in Jalpaiguri. The rest of the boys aged 18 (4 of them) were reunited with their families today itself.
