Didi for winter ‘brigade’ with other parties

social media, Mamata Banerjee, Sushma SwarajSNS  | Siliguri | Chief minister Mamata Banerjee plans to launch a “brigade” in winter in Kolkata by inviting other political parties ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to reporters, the CM disclosed that she will leave for Tamil Nadu in response to an invitation.
“We don’t have any plans to invite other political parties in the programme on 21 July, Martyrs’ Day, which will turn 25 years this year,” she said, adding, “We have no plan to invite other political parties during monsoons, but I have plan to launch a brigade in the winter season. We will call other political parties that time.” Miss Banerjee, meanwhile, refused to comment on GNLF leader Mann Ghising’s decision to give up statuses given by the state government.
Asked to comment, Miss Banerjee said: “It is his prerogative. He is an independent man. But he is cooperating with us.” Regarding the Hills, the CM also claimed that the Hills were now peaceful. The state government will also celebrate Bhanu Jayanti, the birth anniversary of pioneer Nepali poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, on Friday, she said.
On elections, the CM said: “Elections to the GTA will be held as the situation becomes conducive to holding them. Lok Sabha elections are approaching and the situation can be judged during that election.”
