DTDPLU leaders join Binay Tamang faction

Prashant Acharya, EOI, SILIGURI,14 Oct 2017: Trade union leaders of Darjeeling Terai Dooars Plantation Labour Union () backed by Morcha on Saturday came forward to support Binay Tamang and Anit Thapa faction.

After the bonus meeting of tea garden held at Uttarkanya four more top leaders from hills and Terai lend support to Binay Tamang faction. The leaders informed that they lend support for the sake of peace in the hills.

Several leaders from DTDPLU have already joined Binay Tamang faction few weeks back.

Sources informed that DTDPLU central committee leader Harihar Acharya and three others including Bharat Thakuri, Ramesh Thapa and Rajesh Thapa have joined Binay Tamang’s faction.

When asked, Acharya said, “We have decided to lend support to Binay Thapa and Anit Thapa for the peace in hills and all round development for tea garden workers. We will always fight for the betterment of the workers and demand land Patta and minimum wages so that the worker’s long demand can meet soon.
