GMCC declares strike to continue

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 July 2017: The  all party meeting today in Mirik declared the indefinite strike to continue, The meeting of the Gorkhaland Movement Coordination Committee held today resolved the following resolutions:-
1. Ongoing indefinite strike will continue.
2. On 13th July Bhanu Jayanti will be observed all over India in a grand manner to mark Gorkha Ekta Diwas.
3. From 13th July onwards all awards received in different categories from the WB state government will be returned back.
4. On 14th of July, demonstration and gherao will be observed in all offices of BDO SDO and DM, in protest against blockade of all essential food items
5. All Development Board Chairman and Vice Chairman and members will be requested to resign by 6pm of 14th July. Those declining to give resignation will be termed as anti Gorkhaland.
6.From 11 am of 15th July Fast unto death Hunger strike will be started by 2 topmost leaders (such as Secretaries and Asst Secretaries) from each of all the 14 party/ organization, at Chowrasta Darjeeling. They are Binay Tamang, Niraj Zimba, the name of other participants will be announced on 13th july at 4pm.
7. All political parties, social organizations and human rights NGOs of Siliguri will be requested by writing letters to open the blockade of all essential food items.
8.Yet if the blockade is not opened then a silent “ Jhola Julus” to Siliguri by all hill people will be observed on a certain day.
9. SS Ahluwalia MP will be contacted and requested with pressure to send central vigilance team, raise the matter in Parliament, and protest against the inhuman activity in Darjeeling hills.
10. After the indefinite hunger strike (fast unto death), demonstration will be held in Jantar Mantar, will meet SS Ahluwalia MP and other MPs to raise the matter in the Parliament.
11. The next meeting will be held on 18th July.
12. Will demand CBI enquiry of all the violences caused by WB state government in Hills.
