Death toll raised to four
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 9 July 2017: With the death of Asha kumar injured in the yesterday's incident the death toll raised to three. It is reported that Asha Kumar including Tashi Sherpa, Samir Gurung and Suraj Sundas all were shot above the chest and mostly on head.
Since the Gorkhaland agitation started from 8th June 2017, so far 7 Gorkhaland supporters died and GJM has declared them martyrs of Gorkhaland.
Meanwhile Passang Tamang and his supporters of Kalimpong resigned from TMC for the greater cause of Gorkhaland issue.
In Delhi, Gorkha Sanyukta Sanggharsha Samity a all party committee organised a rally in Delhi from Rajghat to Jantar Mantar today. Dr HB Chhetri of JAP along journalist Joel Rai and others joined the Delhi Gorkhas. Yesterday GSSS had organised a dharna in front of residence of Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Members of the GSSS who were staging the dharna were arrested and later released.
