Kalyani Univ to look into PG admission problems
The university this year, has made it mandatory to upload marksheets of Part II examination of undergraduate level to apply for admission in post graduate courses as the process has become completely online.
The last date of applying for the post graduate courses is June 2 and in such a situation, the students from other universities who want to apply in Kalyani University are facing problems.
The other universities are yet to declare the results while on the other hand, the last date of applying for the courses in Kalyani University is June 2. In such a situation, the students are in a helpless situation.
There is a provision of giving admission to 40 percent students from other universities. The students who want to apply for the post graduate courses in Kalyani University, had approached the authorities and sought intervention of the concerned authorities so that they get a fair chance to applying for the courses. Thus, the admission committee would be taking necessary decisions to let the students apply to undertake post graduate courses in the university.
It may be mentioned that there was a provision according to which a student, who is yet to get his or her marksheet, can apply by mentioning that he or she had appeared for the examination and produce the marksheet soon after getting it. But now, with the new system in place, it was not possible for the students to apply for the post graduation courses without uploading the photocopy of their marksheets to apply online. But the students are hopeful that they would also be getting an opportunity to apply and expecting that the deadline to submit online applications would be extended.
