Siliguri court found rapist guilty

EOI, SILIGURI,19 May 2017: The sub-divisional court in Siliguri has found an alleged rapist guilty. Haridhar Singh, a resident of Matigara, was found guilty of continuously raping a minor girl for the past one year.
Siliguri sub-divisional court will award the sentence on Saturday.
According to reports on the case, the minor girl was first raped in 2013. Whenever Haridhar found the minor girl was alone at her residence, he would carry-out the heinous crime.
When the minor girl becoming pregnant was found out on December 20, 2013, the minor’s family filed a complaint against Haridhar Singh at the police station. On the basis of the complaint, Haridhar was arrested by the police.
Government lawyers Amitabh Mukherjee and Arnabya Guptabhaya informed the accused is married. The court will hand down the sentence tomorrow.
