
NGO on a mission to burst immoral activities running in Spas and hotels in Siliguri
EOI, SILIGURI,19 May 2017: An NGO from village under Mirik block has come out to burst the immoral activities taking place in some Spas, hotels and rented flats in Siliguri.
The meeting was conducted between the Social Activists. Teachers, Lawyer, Journalists, Artists and college students where the members decided to uproot the anti social elements from the society to make better place to live in.
NGO named Chenga Nari Sewa Samiti (CNSS) was registered ten years back is fighting for the women rights and empowerment has now formed 15 members team comprising of 10 females and 5 males to eradicate immoral activities taking places Spas, hotels and rented flats across Siliguri.
Samiti's daring president Diwakari Chhetri works tirelessly for the society and also ready to accept challenging tasks for betterment of the society.
Chhetri said, "We have several clues and information about immoral trafficking taking place in some Spas under the basement of City Center and some hotels and rented flats in Siliguri and Matigara areas. We want support the police to crack the rackets going on since long."
She also informed that several agents are also indulged in the business who works in commission basis. Complaints have reached their association that Spa workers openly call people roaming around the Malls for pleasure in the name of massage. It is also reported that customers flock on huge numbers especially on Saturday and Sundays.
Chhetri along with her associates will meet Siliguri Metropolitan police commissioner to discuss the matter and work together to burst the rackets.
When asked to Police Commissioner C S Lepcha regarding the move of an NGO she said, "Its appreciable, police have also in past burst the racket and shut the shops after reports of immoral acts in Spas."
She said that there must be sufficient proof to take legal action against those people who runs Spas. Lights must be on all time inside the Spas, Owners should have valid license and documents and workers should carry identity proof and training certificates.
Lepcha will instruct DCP Sangmit Lepcha for the meeting with the NGO and every possible support from the police department.
