Tea Estate staff gheraoed
TT, Siliguri, March 28: A manager, an assistant manager and some other employees of Tirrihannah Tea Estate have been allegedly confined by workers and their families from 7pm today following the management's decision to dismiss a labourer.
The gheraoed started at 7pm and they were not released even at 10pm.
Police from both Bagdogra and Naxalbari have rushed to the spot.
"We are trying to pacify the agitators," a police officer said.
The management decided to remove Ramesh Biswakarma following several complaints against him.
