Nepalese arrest: DD proceeds for Kolkata
The airport authorities handed them over to the police. The duo had procured Indian passports and planned to go to Macu via Bangkok from
Bagdogra airport.
Preliminary investigation suggested that they had given Rs two lakh to two Siliguri-based persons each for the passports.
"It appeared that the passports are original. A team of DD went to Kolkata to probe the case. They are likely to visit the Regional Passport Office," said a senior police official.
The investigation also revealed that one of the arrested persons had also planned to visit Macau in February.
"But he was stopped at Hongkong International Airport in Hong Kong by the immigration officials and deported to Delhi," the sources said.
