Udayan murder 'motive'

ABHIJEET CHATTERJEE, TT, Bankura, Feb. 14: Police today said Udayan Das had told them he had no option but to kill his partner Akansha Sharma because she had threatened to reveal his murder of parents.
"After Akansha went to Bhopal thinking Udayan would take her to the US, he kept delaying his promise to do so. So, she started putting pressure on him and repeatedly asked him about his intentions," a police officer said.
He said Akansha had one day stumbled upon the passports of Udayan's parents and his mother's death certificate.
"Udayan had told Akansha that his parents lived in the US. So Akansha asked him how their passports could be in an almirah in Bhopal if they were at all living in the US," the officer said.
"Udayan killed Akansha when she threatened to reveal his crimes. We had initially thought that Udayan had killed Akansha for money," said Bankura SP Sukhendu Heera.
