Pregnant Woman held after escape from hospital
TT, Feb. 26: The 35-year-old undertrial in her eighth-month pregnancy who pulled off a near-impossible escape from SSKM Hospital late on Friday was arrested in Baguiati early today.
Kulsum Ahmed, who allegedly made a hole in a toilet window net and slid at least 20ft down a pipe to escape custody, was picked up from a relative's house following a raid by a team from Bhowanipore police station.
"After fleeing the hospital, Kulsum contacted her live-in partner Mohammad Shahnawaz, who lives in Baguiati," an officer of the police station said.
According to the police, Shahnawaz used to meet Kulsum at the hospital during the visiting hours.
