Dhaneswar Barman, owner of a paan and cigarette shop, here had been trying to withdraw money for the past two days and he stood in the queue at 6am today.
"Dhaneswar was from Bhitarkamta village and he collapsed around 1pm today. Local people took him to Gossainmari health centre and the doctors there referred him to Dinhata subdivisional hospital. He was taken there around 4pm," a police source said.
Dinhata hospital superintendent Ranjit Mondal said: "He was brought dead. Only after a post-mortem will we get to know the cause."
