Sex racket busted at a rural hotel in Malda

EOI, Malda, 20 Oct 2016: Bamangola police busted a sex racket at a hotel at Pakua area and arrested two persons including a woman last night. However, the proprietor of the hotel and few other people scampered away.

It has been learnt from police sources that hotel came under police scanner after it was reported that many unfamiliar men and women used to loiter around the hotel obscenely at odd hours. Accordingly, police laid a trap. Few CCTV cameras were secretly installed at some strategic points by police.

Perusing the footages of the CCTVs the police got primarily confirmed that a sex racket was active in the hotel. A raid was made last night and a woman and a man were found in a compromising state. They were arrested. But the owner of the hotel and few other women fled away. Few school girls too were used in the sex racket as suspected by police.

Ashutosh Pal, the officer-in-charge of Bamangola police station said that two persons including a woman were arrested for immoral activities from a hotel at Pakua. “We are searching for the owner of the hotel,” he said.
