ROAD MISHAP IN NEPAL KILLS TWO SOCIAL WORKERS

SNS, GANGTOK, 20 Oct 2016: Two renowned social workers Bindiya Gurung (30) who was the caretaker of a destitute home Mayalmu Sangh  and Payal Agarwal (33) an active social worker died in a road mishap on their way to Nepal today. 
According to sources, the accident took place in the wee hours, when the passengers bus bearing Na Kha 4889 enroute to Kathmandu from Kakarvitta, Nepal collided with a truck Na 3Kha 4130 coming from the opposite direction.
The incident took place around 2.00 am according to DSP at the police office Area Police Office in Mirchaiya, Mr Shyam Singh Chaudhary. 
According to sources, the truck driver Fadendra Rajpuri of Hetauda-3, Makwanpur has been arrested. 
State Social welfare minister Mr Tulshi Devi Rai mourned the deaths, "I'm deeply moved by the sudden demise of two very ardent social workers of the state, Bindhya Gurung and Payal Agarwal. I've had the opportunity of meeting and interacting with them in the past who had immensely inspired me with their unwavering dedication towards service for the needy It is a huge loss for all. With their demise, they' ve left a void which shall take years to fill, if at all. My prayers are with the bereaved families."
