JAP hill meeting at Darjeeling
TT, Kalimpong, Oct. 16: The Jana Andolan Party will hold its first public meeting in Darjeeling at the Motor Stand on October 23 to strengthen the organisation on the other side of the Teesta in view of ensuing municipality and panchayat elections in the hills.
JAP president Harka Bahadur Chhetri, chairman of the party's national bureau, Mahendra P. Lama, senior bureau members, Anmole Prasad and Amar Lama, and others will attend the meeting.
The nearly 10-month-old JAP has organised public meetings at other places in Darjeeling and Kurseong subdivisions, but this will be its first public meeting in Darjeeling town.
