Bonus talks fail
TT, Darjeeling, Oct. 20: The bonus negotiation for workers of Dooteriah, Kalej Valley and Peshok tea gardens remained inconclusive even as the management today confirmed that the estates' ownership had changed from the Alchemist Group to a Mumbai firm.
Suman Moktan, general manager of Dooteriah & Kaley Valley Tea Estates Pvt. Ltd, said: "The management's stand is that we will pay bonus at 8.33 per cent before Diwali and an additional three percent by December."
