Contraband worth 20L seized, 2 arrested
Dwaipayan Ghosh | TNN | Aug 26, 2016, KOLKATA: The jawans of Sashastra Seemal Bal's 41st battalion Ranidanga under the command of D K Singh, Second-in-Command, seized 22 grams brown sugar worth Rs 10 lakh during a raid and search operation at Gandgoljote Market under Panitanki BOP on Thursday 25 and apprehended one smuggler named Md. Imtiyaz residing Kestopur of Darjeeling district.
In another event, the SSB jawans of 12th battalion Kishanganj under the command of Kumar Sundaram, Deputy Commandant seized 26.3 kilogram ganja worth Rs 10.89 lakh at Salgodi Chowk near Kadambhatta and apprehended one person named Rehmat Alam residing at Dogachi village under Ganbandanga police station of Kishanganj district.
