Attacker private parts slash
The 27-year-old woman, who helps her husband run a snack shop from the veranda of their house in Muraroi, was preparing to open the store when the local youth lunged at her from behind. Her husband and three children were sleeping.
The woman, desperately looking for a weapon to save herself, saw a blade kept for cutting open plastic packets of sattu and slashed the youth's private parts. The injured youth, a farmer, ran away.
The woman has lodged a police complaint. The accused is untraceable. The police went to his house in the village and found it locked.
"The youth caught me from behind. He covered my mouth with his palm. Then he pushed me towards one side of the veranda. I could not shout as he had covered my mouth. I swung my hands desperately, looking for a weapon to save myself. I found the blade, which was kept in a corner to cut open plastic packets. I slashed his private parts," the woman added.
