Prez, Guv and CM to visit Darj

HT, 7 Jul 2016, DARJEELING: Darjeeling is all set to host President of India Pranab Mukherjee, West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee this month. 
Mamata will arrive in Darjeeling on July 11 from Kolkata. As per a tentative programme, the President will arrive at 10am on July 12 at Bagdogra Airport near Siliguri and will fly to Lebong helipad in Darjeeling by helicopter. 
The Governor is scheduled to accompany him to Darjeeling. At 5 pm the same day, President Mukherjee will attend a state reception at Chowrasta in Darjeeling. 
On July 13, the President, Governor and chief minister will attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Nepali poet Acharya Bhanubhakta at 3pm at Darjeeling Chowrasta. 
On July 14, the President is likely to attend the annual general meeting of Darjeeling Tea Association at 11am in Darjeeling. 
The President will depart for Delhi on July 15 from Bagdogra airport at 10.45 am. The Governor and chief minister will also depart on July 15. 
“This is a tentative programme and there could be changes,” said Anurag Shrivastava, district magistrate, Darjeeling. 
The last time President Mukherjee visited Darjeeling was on November 10, 2013. He was in Darjeeling to flag off the 125th year celebration of St. Joseph’s school.
