JISTO central committee member and others of Kalimpong area resign to form another organisation

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 July 2016: In protest against the decision of GJM to dissolve movement committee of Janmukti insecure Teachers Organisation (JISTO), Roshan Chhetri central committee member of JISTO and others Volunteer teachers resigned.
Basically members of Kalimpong these members include Samuel Kiran Singh Vice President of JISTO Kalimpong and members Bishal Pradhan, Diwash Chhetri, Durga Prasad Sharma, Durges Nandawi Pradhan, Kamal Niroula,  Manoj Kumar Prasad,  Pranay Sapkota, Rakesh Thapa and Sagar Kalden.
These volunteer teachers working in different secondary and higher secondary schools seeking regularisation of their jobs are in a do or die situation. They alleged that neither the state government nor the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration has taken any positive step to solve the problem. GTA  has not shown any solution to it while the state government has proposed to recruit these teachers previously through subsidiary selection board and now through school service commission.
As the plight of volunteer teachers remain unresolved some members formed JISTO movement committee which became quite vocal to crticise GTA. Lately the decision of GJM to dissolve JISTO movement committee was reacted promptly by members of JISTO of Kalimpong region.
JISTO is a frontal organisation of GJMM so we resigned both from GJMM as well as JISTO said one member. In a meeting held in Kalimpong it decided to resign and proposed to form a new nonpolitical  organisation.
