Drug peddlers held
Yawan Gurung, EOI, MIRIK, 22 Jul 2016: Acting on a tip-off, the Mirik police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered about 15 files of banned drugs from their possession. A source said a police patrol intercepted Bibek Subba (40) on Thursday night at Allay Ground Byepass and arrested Ranjan Roy (41) from Gokul Lodge in Dudhay. Roy is from Mallaguri in Siliguri and had allegedly asked Subba to supply the drugs.
The two have been booked under the drugs and cosmetic Act. Subba is a resident of Mirik bazaar. The police also recovered some cash along with the drugs.
