
Temperatures soar across WB, Met deptt predicts rains

Asansol recorded the day's highest temperature in the state at 40.4 degree Celsius, according to the MeT department.
Bankura, Burdwan and Sriniketan in Gangetic West Bengal recorded 39.7 degree Celsius, 38.0 degree Celsius and 38.2 degree Celcius, respectively.
Kolkata recorded the day's highest temperature at 36.6 degree Celsius, but high humidity level raised the discomfort level.
The MeT department has forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in parts of Gangetic West Bengal.
